30 Minute Article Writing - Ways To Reduce The Amount Of Time In Writing Your Articles

As a writer, it's definitely an advantage for you if you know how to write your articles a bit quicker as this is one of the keys to boost your productivity. If you're just like me who's using articles to attract online traffic, you must already realized that you need to produce more articles in order to drive more interested people to your website. One of the best ways to make this happen is by knowing how to write your articles faster (in 30 minutes or less). In this article, I'll teach you some tricks that can definitely cut your writing time in half.

Gone are the days when I need to spend one hour to write one 500-word article. Today, with the techniques that I've learned, I can now write up to 4 articles in just 60 minutes. Do you want to know how I do it? Then, read on!

1. Prepare ahead of time. Before you start writing, make sure that everything you need is ready. These include your computer, internet connection, resource materials, and other software that you might need like voice recognition software. This is to make sure that you'll avoid unnecessary delays in the middle of the process.

2. Outline. ...
... This is really the key to 30-minute article writing. Before you start creating your articles, develop an outline that can guide you all throughout. This must contain a working title and every piece of information you want to cover on your articles. Using an outline will help you avoid unnecessary delays as you can use it to easily determine what information you need to write when.

3. Choose your topics wisely. As you're trying to finish writing your articles in 30 minutes or less, it will help if you stick with topics that you already pretty well. You see, you don't want to read so many online resources just to get the information you need and to fully understand your main topic -- this will eat a lot of your writing time. Be an expert on your subjects first before you start writing them.

4. Focus. Write on one-hour segments. During those 60 minutes, make sure that you concentrate on getting your articles done. Do not entertain instant messages or phone call just yet. This is the key to make sure that your train of thoughts will not be disrupted. Also, avoid writing and editing your articles all at the same time. It will work to your advantage if you do one task at a time.

5. Writing time. Choose the time of the day when you feel relaxed and when your mind and body are energized. This is the perfect time to sit in front of your computer and write your articles. You'll be able to think faster and you'll be able to put together great content in minutes.

6. Avoid distractions. Make sure that nothing or no one will distract you the moment you start writing your articles. What I do is I log off from the Internet so I will not be tempted to surf and I turn my answering machine on. I also instruct everybody in my household to not disturb me. Try this and I am sure that you'll be able to maximize your writing time.

7. Keep your articles short. Decide on making your articles relatively shorter early on so you can cut your writing time in half. Instead of targeting very broad topics, stick with those ones that are very specific or those that you can discuss using 500 words or less.

8. Edit later. You can't really do multi-tasking when writing your articles as this can surely disrupt your train of thoughts. You'll be able to speed up the writing process if you ignore all the errors that you commit while you're trying to put together your content. Don't be bothered as you can edit your articles later. Your goal here is to put your ideas into writing ASAP without disrupting your train of thoughts.

9. Race against a timer. This one will really get your adrenalin pumping. What you can do is to set your timer to 15 minutes. Make sure that you finish your article before the time is up. As you're competing against the clock, you'll become more aware of the time and you'll most unlikely to waste a single minute.
