In the Indian education systems Scholarships are very rare. Even the scholarships that exist have irrelevant syllabus which definitely do not add knowledge of the students but only encourage them rote learning. The Maharashtra State Government revised the syllabus this year for the scholarship exams to be held for Std V and VIII class. The state education minister also introduced the guidance book to these scholarships.

The revamp in the syllabus has brought a positive change in the education system. The earlier syllabus focused more on rote learning which only built the memorising capacity of the students. The new syllabus is more interactive & emphasises on application based learning. The scholarship exam will also have large percentage of tricky questions which will test the aptitude, general & conceptual knowledge of the students.

Previously these exams were held for students of IV & VII grade but now these exams will be held for V & VIII grade students. Also now the students will answer two papers instead of three. The entire syllabus is revamped in such a way that it leads to ...
... overall development of students. Puzzles, riddles & creating advertisements is included in the exam which was never a part of the syllabus before.

The state is the host to some of the best English medium schools including residential schools which are expected to train students as per the changed syllabus. This new system will bring a lot of change in the outlook towards the education system. Slowly but steadily we are towards the education revolution that will definitely give birth to overall developed & smart students who are well versed with modern technology & applications.

One such school is Dnyandeep English Medium School in Wai which looks after the overall development of the students.
