While skiing is definitely great winter fun, it requires something that most of us have already had too much of; snow and cold. For something a little different for winter fun, how about windsurfing? If you're interested in a warmer winter, and fun that doesn't give you the aches and pains that go with the cold, take a look at Mexico Real Estate. "Midwinter" means the time in December and January when the locals have to put up with cold weather that sometimes gets as cold as 65 degrees. On those days, many locals get out their sweaters and hats, and some even get out their winter jackets. So, the windsurfers who sign up for this winter competition are certainly brave - by Mexican standards!

... Almost every day, the sun warms things up to at least 75 degrees, making for comfortable mornings and afternoons. Whether you enjoy windsurfing or not, the temperature is great for taking a walk on Cancun's famous beaches - only steps away from your condo, going for a swim, boating, enjoying an outdoor cafe, or dinner in a restaurant's outdoor patio, or many other activities available in Cancun's beachfront lifestyle.

Of course, while the locals put on their sweaters even during the day, visitors from up north are wearing shorts and sandals. As you live in Cancun, and become one of the locals (a term which can include the expats who live here permanently) you'll also get used to the warm weather, and start thinking that 65 is quite cold. You'll probably get out your sweater too. But the nice part is, you might not even remember what it feels like at zero!

Enjoying a very different kind of winter is not out of reach. Because of Cancun's highrises (a construction type which isn't allowed down the road in the Riviera Maya) Mexico Condos near Cancun's beach, with a great view, a great lifestyle and warm weather all year round can be found to match many lifestyle choices and budgets.
