Organizing a bowling tournament at the workplace can be the fun filled way to bring all colleagues together to strengthen the team spirit and bonding within them and even raise funds for any charitable purpose or otherwise. It can be organized both for individual competition as well as team competitions. However, for the event to be successful, it must be carefully planned and organized with attention paid to even the minute details. The below mentioned tips should be useful in the direction.

Determine the purpose
It’s important to first get the purpose of the tournament clear. Whether it is to be played between different departments just for fun or for a definitive cause like raising money for some charity would influence the level of planning and expenditure.

Define the budget
The cause would define the budget required for organizing the tournament. However the equipment for playing must be of good quality so that they can be used in future as well. Finalize the players
Next is the most important part of selecting the players. For a small fun tournament, one can select even the players with basic skills since enjoyment and bonding are the main purpose behind the game. The game results barely matter. However, if the event is organized on even a decent level, certain eligibility criteria should be laid out to have a good game and healthy contest for all to enjoy. As far as the team size is concerned, it can be decided upon availability of players since the rule of ‘the more the merrier’ applies here.

Finalize other details
The final part of organizing is laying down all rules and regulations, terms of winning, prize money and trophy etc. Outline on a chart can also be drawn to clarify things. With everything organized now, one can now indulge in the pleasure of the tournament.
