Why Engineering, Why Not Something Else?
Engineering is one of the most sought after and exploited courses in India that is usually chosen by the toppers. But what is exactly special about this course? Let’s find out!

Any developing country like India needs infrastructural and industrial development for transforming the country from being at the developing stage to the developed level. This is the first and foremost factor why the constitutional governments encourage engineering studies. This is also a reason that persuades many Indian young stars to opt for engineering as a career.
While the support of the governments being instrumental in India there are many other contemporary factors attached that are making engineering a much deserving career. Post independence during 90s there was a heavy need for the indigenous talent to rebuild India’s collapsed system and assets. For rebuilding India we needed technically knowledgeable and skilled humans, which seeded foundation for the development of engineering as a career. But today i.e., in 21st century there are many other factors like increased job opportunities coupled with high salaries also an instrumental factor for choosing engineering by many young stars. The improved career opportunities for Indian engineers abroad are also added up to the list of factors. In 21st century India has become an attractive destination for many international IT firms and the revolution in the areas of internet and information technology also adds up to the fact list of engineers.
Apart from all the above stated factors the worldwide attention towards Indian engineers since 1990s is a value addition. Along with the global recognition there are many top B-schools and institutions that are offering higher education opportunities that would add value to their engineering degree. Additional degrees to engineering degree further enhance the brand value of engineers in India and abroad. The lining up factors also includes Indian family constitution and financial ability that encourages many young grads. The most viable and financially potent option for many in India multiplied with the brand name, global recognition and high pay scales are the reasons for many young stars flocking up to engineer courses. All these reasons add up to the glimpse of setting the trend of engineering in India.
