A Wedding In Australia - Get It Done The Right Way!
Weddings are a heavenly affair, arranged in heaven by the cupids as the saying goes. Everything about marriages has a fragrant air to it. Take for example the sequence of events that eventually lead to this enthralling celebration - youthful love and the blessed meeting of two soul mates, the spell binding force of attraction that brings them close and then makes them inseparable, the sparking of new emotions and the initial shyness and feeling of anticipation which eventually metamorphoses into a strong bond of deep devotion, commitment, care and possessiveness. As a more mature relationship buds out of this young love and the couple get over the initial uncertainty phase, they decide to unite forever in marriage. Then the time comes for the wedding bells to be in order. However, this usually happens in story books. In real life, a perfect marriage does require a nice well planned out wedding ceremony.
For the bride to be the nights and days are full of surreal dreams and fitting appointments for her bridal gowns and wedding dresses. Her room overflows with wedding accessories, and couches, dining tables and poufs ...
... sigh under the weight of ever increasing number of bomboniere. Chocolate wrappers and packing paper litter the floor and the blushing bride bursting with enthusiasm raids the bakery for that perfect wedding cake. Wedding gowns and bridal accessories spill from her wardrobe and the couples, whose minds are full of wedding ideas, plan for the D day with great care and excitement. With love in the air they search for the wedding venue. The church hall is booked and a wedding planner is appointed just so that the bride and groom to be don't kill themselves with their overwhelming enthusiasm. The floral arrangements are finally agreed upon after much pillow fights over the exuberant amount of flowers. The invitations are send out once the wedding date is finalized. With the good wishes and blessings of the near and dear ones, the new couple march on the streets debating the extravagant menu for their infinite course dinner.
With the arrival of the wedding seasons in Brisbane, there are pink faces and gloved hands full of shopping bags to be seen everywhere. The couples and family members rush through the last minute arrangements and the bride is to be seen spending all her waking hours in spa and under the intensive care of the house maids and girlfriends.
The wedding gifts to be given are discussed in giggly whispers. The wedding dresses are selected and rejected .Speeches are prepared by the couple's friends and family in appreciation and good will. As the big day draws nearer, the wedding planner is to be seen moving around frantically lest anything should be out of place or any complications should arise.
On the D day, people (parents especially) are seen to display a mixed variety of emotion. The parents witness the inevitable - growing up and moving away of their kids. They bless them with all their heart and stifle a sob quietly. Like seeds fall from the parent tree and gives rise to a new tree which one day wile have its own canopy and in turn bear fruits, the parents watch their children starting a life and a family of their own. Change is inevitable and also necessary to continue the cycle of life in this world.
