Your Guide To Taking The Whole Family To Las Vegas
You're getting all ready for your first trip to Las Vegas; you have your bags packed and ready to go, the dilemma is what to do when you get there as a family?
The Excalibur Hotel in Las Vegas
Dining options at the Excalibur are excellent for a family dinner. The tournament of Kings Dinner show is like taking a step back in time to see how people lived in medieval England. Your dinner comes complete with shows such as jousting, invading armies with beautiful dancing maidens, and then to top it all off a fireworks show you will never forget. This is one show in Las Vegas that is great for kids and a guaranteed good time for anyone at any age.
The Circus Circus Hotel
Circus Circus is considered the largest permanent big top circus in the world and is open 24 hours a day for anyone to enjoy. The adventure dome features an upside down roller coaster ride that will give anybody an adrenaline rush and a special 4D show called Marvin the Martian. They also have a 3D theater for the whole family and they boast the world's largest permanent circus with shows starting every 30 minutes.
GameWorks: This ...
... is the ultimate stop for everyone that goes to Vegas with kids. Located next to the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino inside of the Showcase Mall, games are aimed at every age group of children for both boys and girls. The Glacier Bar is located upstairs so if you don't want to hang around with the kids and you have that night club feel, you can watch over them from the enormous window above while having a drink. The atmosphere is strictly family oriented and dress code and language are watched very closely. GameWorks also provides food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves a wide variety of food fare. Doors open at 10am daily.
Mirage: The Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat were created by Siegfried & Roy, the famous cat tamers of Vegas. The Garden houses 6 different kinds of rare wild cats and the Dolphin Habitat allows you to feed and wade with the Dolphins along with an underwater viewing area. There is a small fee for both stops but is well worth it.
Many Casinos' now are kid friendly, offering play areas with supervision so mom and dad can go play as well; there are tons of restaurants that offer a kids menu, kid friendly shows, theme parks, and roller coasters in the shape of taxi cabs, a shark reef exhibit, pirate shows, lion habitats and much more.
We suggest that if you have a family of teens, you may want to try another destination that would fit the bill of teen entertainment.
