Axel Rose Is Destroying The Guns N' Roses Legacy

There is no doubt that Guns N' Roses are one of the greatest bands of all time. They have sold over 100 million albums, had hit music videos all over MTV, sold out arenas all over the world, and have had countless number one singles. In 1994 tension grew within the band and they split, but for some reason front man Axel Rose just can't Live and Let Die. Ha ha ha, get it? See what I did there? Anyways Axel seems to be the Michel Jordan of music. He just keeps coming back!

In 2008 Axel and a re-vamped version of Guns N' Roses released the album Chinese Democracy. It surprises me that this album was ever recorded, never mind released, because it is horrible. Axel has been talking about Chinese Democracy ever since the band split in '94. For over a decade now he has been telling us all that Chinese Democracy would be the return of Guns N' Roses, but we never saw a shred of evidence that the album even existed. I was more convinced that aliens were going to come take over the world.

Sure waiting 15 years for an awful album is bad, but to make things worse Alex Rose just announced a Guns N' Roses Canadian tour in support ...
... of Chinese Democracy. He is going to take his newly formed band across Canada for 13-shows starting January 13th. Two things came to mind when I heard this news. One, if the album was no good, what makes me think a tour with no original members will be any better? And two, Axel Rose cancelled his last U.S. tour after only 3 shows. Does anyone really believe that he can do a tour in Canada, let alone 13 shows?

I think I speak for everybody when I say enough is enough. The original Guns N' Roses is for sure heading to the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. So why diminish the name by releasing mediocre albums and trying to pull off a second rate tour. What Guns N' Roses accomplished in their career most bands can't achieve in a lifetime. I just hope that Axel doesn't do any more damage to the Guns N' Roses name then he already has.
