Are You Aware Of The Maruti Stingray Specifications?
Maruti Suzuki has come up with a new launch in India, called the Stingray in India. Unlike what many people might think of, this Maruti Suzuki car model is nothing like the classic American 460bhp V8 muscle car. Rather it’s somewhat an improvised version of Maruti Suzuki Wagon R.
Going by the overall look and the Maruti Stingray specifications, you can’t consider the model as a brand new one, but an upgraded version of the current Wagon R, and of course with more serious re-work. Look wise, Stingray can be considered as a sedate Wagon R getting revamped into a bolder and stylish hatchback.
The Maruti Stingray specifications come with restyled bonnet, projector headlamps, flashy chrome grille with LED lights, and massive air dam on the front bumper; for the frontal makeover. Better alloy wheels, side skirts to reduce the side pressure, lack of roof rails or rear spoiler adds the perfect garnishing to the chrome back door, stylish and attractive new tail lamp.
Maruti Suzuki Stingray specifications will show you an engine ...
... of 998cc, 67bhp K-10 engine, which you can find in Alto or regular Wagon R. Little bit of vibration and initial punch from the motor at low rpm is felt. The car performance bucks up after crossing 3,500 revs, with a high-pitched wail from the engine although the gearbox isn’t that smooth. The car model takes about 15 seconds to hit 100kph. Its average goes somewhere around 20.5kpl.
So far the safety features are concerned, the features are being fitted generously in the VXi (O), VXi and LXi; all three petrol variants. The Driver SRS airbag and Anti-lock braking system (ABS) are available only in the VXi (O) variant. Energy absorbing body structure with side-impact beams along with front and rear ELR seat belts (3 point ELR) are present across all variants. Head lamps with head levelling device, front fog lamps, front wiper (2 speed + intermittent), driver seat belt warning indicator, child proof rear door locks; and Intelligent Computerized Anti-Theft System (i-CATS) are the other safety features present in all the variants of this particular car model.
Some additional storage space is now on the dashboard, and a redone music system. The VXi (O) model comes with leather-wrapped steering wheel. The electronic power-steered wheel has gone heavier now, and the brakes better than the regular Wagon R, its parent model.
