5 Smart Changes For Perfect Daytime Sleep
With the introduction of the global market, the business hours have changed to night as well. Most of us are into night shifts and return back home in the bright daylight aiming for good sleep. But at times, the light falling on our eyes impacts our resting hours. Let us see how we can create a perfect ambience of night in our bedrooms during daytime. The first step is to have a look at the sources of light. It can be natural light from the window, or the artificial light from the clocks, gadgets and so on. Once we have noted the list, let us follow the following steps :
1. Turn off the lights :
Turn off all the lights in the room. Switch off the bulbs, LEDs, and even night lamps. These artificial sources of light not only waste the energy as we do not need them while sleeping and will also hamper the ambience. You can go for motion sensor night lamps and place them under the bed.
2. Remove light enabled electronics :
May it be light enabled chargers, toys or any electronic device that have even small light bulbs: Best is to keep them out of the room. If these cannot be removed away from the ...
... sockets then try to cover them with paper strips or any means that can block them out.
3. Ditch the clock :
If you have a digital clock with its lights on, then either turn off the light or best is to remove it from the room. Opt for analog clock. Anyway, if you wish to look at the time, you always have your phone at your side or you can go for table clocks with an illumination button.
4. Use blackout blinds :
The light blocking window blinds are the perfect option for keeping the light away from the room. While the curtains can fly with the breeze allowing the light to flow in, the blinds are sturdy. These come with the option of blocking the light up to 99% of the light. You need to measure the window size to get the right size of the blind so that the light does not peep in from the corners. These are best suitable even at nights to keep the light for the street lamps out of the room.
5. Use eye mask :
The eye masks are designed to hold the light away from the eyes. This is good if you can accept something on your face over the night.Other than the eye mask the rest of the option is best suitable even if you are creating the ambience for the kids. But before you hit the bed of make kids cuddles them under the sheet, make sure you have the tummy full so that the hunger do not spoil the nap.The dark room is not only good for sleep but is much needed for good health as light can induce alertness in the brain and generates harmful toxins in the body.
