In recent years if any branch of engineering has posed multifaceted challenges and an equal degree of extensive research, it is computer science and engineering .Today, the branch is the epicentre of all other branches, including the world of entertainment and multimedia. The branch is one of the most sought after course by undergraduate and postgraduate students. Our graduate program offers M.Tech and Ph.D degrees in CSE, and consistently ranked among top 3 best programs in eastern India.
Department of Computer Science & Engineering is ‘A’ grade accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of UGC and by National Board Accreditation (NBA) of AICTE.

Presently the department has 30 faculty members and 7 technical staffs totally dedicated to render best possible help to the students in an interactive manner. Each year our students secure positions among the rank holders in the BPUT examinations.

The department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 1999 with an intake of 60, which was further increased to 120. The department is also running M. Tech programme in Computer Science & Engineering and Computer Science & Technology since 2003 with a sanctioned strength of 18 each.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
From the global positioning system to electric power generation, electrical engineers design and implement a wide range of systems such as power generation, transmission and distribution, telecommunication networks, electrical machines and modern industrial control systems.. They design, develop, test and supervise deployment of electrical systems and electronic devices. For example, they work on the design of telecommunication systems, the operation of electric power stations, the lighting and wiring of buildings, the design of household appliances and electrical control of industrial machinery.
Today most engineering work involves the use of computers and it is a common phenomenon to use computer-aided design programs while designing electrical systems. Keeping an eye on modern educational method, KEC's Electrical Engineering Department has facilities for providing qualitative education in the fields of design of electrical transmission & distribution systems, power flow studies, computation of short circuit currents, steady state & transient state, stability studies of power systems, computation of dynamic over voltages in power systems with an integration of computer aided education system. The department has started M. Tech programme in Power Electronics & Drives since 2009.
