Riding motorcycle on a long road trip is very exciting and fun. It is very adventurous and gives you the ultimate freedom from the daily hustle-bustle of life. With even little money in hand, it gives you plenty of opportunities to explore new places and roads. Of course, a proper planning is a must. Planning is needed for your first most awaiting long bike trip.
With my personal experience, I can share the followed easy and crucial tips which will surely going to make your trip smoother.
• Long distance riding can be challenging both physically and mentally. Spending long hours in riding can be very exhaustive. So keeping yourself hydrated is very important. Take plain and electrolyte water that will avoid dehydrating your body.
• Check the brake cables, tyres, air, fuel everything once. Better to have a proper servicing before you hit the road. This for the safety purpose of your and the bike.
• Must carry identity proof, insurance, a small first aid kit, map, sunglass, a scarf, helmet, medicines, roadside assistance information, camera if you love ...
... to photograph, gloves, gear jacket and a back pack to carry your other necessary items.
• Always put some cash with you in case of emergency.
• Use ear plug it will help in not letting the wind enter into your ears
• Never eat heavy food when you are on a riding trip. Eat light food and can carry some snacks with you.
• Take frequent breaks while riding. Don’t drive at a stretch. This might affect your back.
• Avoid riding at night. Try to cover your distance during day time.
• It is suggested to book your hotel accommodation prior to the travel. If not, then it would be a reason of tension as often hotels can’t provide rooms at the last moment.
• Know your roads and availability of the neibourhood through internet before starting the trip
