Are you at the climax of your college life and soon will be going to experience a transition from college to a corporate atmosphere? If yes, then we wish you all the best! As you really need it. Our intent is not to scare you, but to simply make you aware of the concerns you might encounter when you enter into the world of a job. Finding a solution to a problem becomes easy when you know what the problem is. So quickly brace yourself & know what challenges are waiting for you at the doorstep of your first day of a job so that you get the trick to deal with them.
Lack of Experience Could Make You Feel Inept
Several freshers start to feel that they are incompetent & deficient. But this should not be the case. You must motivate yourself daily by saying- ‘ It is just the beginning & I have miles to go.’ As a fresher, you will be required to work under a person having years of experience in the field. It is apparent that an experience holder will know more than you do. However, never harbour doubts about your capabilities & train yourself as much as you can. Your first job would be your training ...
... ground where you can learn, grasp & gain a profound knowledge of your field. Later, you will witness your lack of experience has helped you reach to newer heights.
Discrimination Between an Experienced & You
Many times it might happen to you when you are discriminated within the staff of your organization. The best way to overcome this feeling is to remind yourself that the experienced staff members have worked really hard to reach to this level, rather than constantly holding grudges against your seniors. Try to be friendly with them & seek their suggestions & advice at the time of perplexities. In this way, you will certainly be able to gel up well with them. Make sure you do not compare yourself with your co-workers & stop learning things from others.
You Could Be Underpaid & Overworked
As a fresher, several times you will be bogged down by the overburden of work given by your seniors. You might feel agitated & miffed at that point. It is a common function in every organization that the interns & freshers are underpaid & overworked. But, never get perturbed by these situations, because time would indeed come when someone will work under you & perform tasks given by you. Feeling confident? We can sense that! So keep calm & have a great first day on the job!
So, now you know the common concerns of a fresher. Job life is just ahead! Bid adieu to college days! So have you started to write your final year writing work, i.e., a dissertation? Oops! Haven't you till now? Do not worry; you can without a delay
