My Experience With Esl Languages

I have been hearing a lot about ESL languages. My friends used to tell me that ESL is a launchpad for a bright and prosperous career in foreign languages. Many of my friends have gone abroad through ESL and have learnt a number of European languages. I had a wish to learn German in Germany and one of my friends who had gone with ESL told me about it and I made a decision to go with ESL. My desire was to attend any of the language schools in Germany.

These language schools in Germany are excellent learning centres and I knew they would help me a lot in moulding my career in foreign languages. My parents also supported me and one fine morning I left New Delhi to go to Frankfurt. This was my first foreign trip and I was very excited about it.

Thanks to its famous skyline outlined by the high-rise skyscrapers that line the banks of the River Main, Frankfurt is popularly known as Mainhattan.

... the 56th floor, and had a spectacular view of the city. I was thrilled by the hospitality of the German people. In fact you never get to know about the hearty welcome the Germans extend to their guests until you are physically there on their soil. I also cherished the moments I spent in those numerous student parties. Narrow lanes, wooden houses and café terraces plus lovely people all make life in Frankfurt quite peaceful.

The school where I studied German language is located in the heart of Sachsenhausen, one of the finest districts of Frankfurt. The DID school building has 7 large, spacious classrooms. I had a good time in the multimedia room where I used to browse the Internet whenever I was free and remained in touch with my parents and friends in India. I had a personal laptop and a WiFi facility was available for me.

Once classes were over, I used to meet up with my new German friends over a hot coffee in the cafeteria. I used to relax on the banks of the Main, its palm-lined beaches and the beach volleyball courts. I used to live with a German family during my stay in Frankfurt. The family was very courteous and there were altogether four members in the small family. I was sharing a room with my Indian friend. We used to interact with them in the German language. Though our German was bad, we learnt the language so fast that we couldn't believe ourselves. It was due to our interaction with the family. They made the task quite easy which was otherwise very tough indeed.

They also helped us discover the true German culture, way of living and above all the true spirit of a great nation. We learned a lot about their culture, etiquettes, manners and such other small yet very important elements of a great civilization. One thing that struck me much was the Gothic structure of buildings. Frankfurt, as the birthplace of Goethe, represents the evolution of a great architectural style through ages and to realize that you have to visit the cities in Frankfurt.

We also visited Würzburg and its Residence, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Heidelberg. I was awestruck to see the relics of the glorious romantic castle. No doubt Frankfurt is a magnificent city, full of energy and enthusiasm. The people were so energetic that you never feel bored.

I stayed in Franffurt just for three months but during this short span of time. I realized that learning German in Germany itself has lot of advantages and today I can claim that I feel at home with the German language. Thank you ESL.
