Set Exam 2016: Things To Know
The Symbiosis Entrance Test is an annual exam that focuses on examining the aptitude of the participants. The aim is to get a better idea about the student’s interest in a domain and accordingly justify his or her application to the undergraduate programs conducted by the reputed Symbiosis institute. Unlike other undergraduate entrance exams in India, the major advantage that this course offers is that it gives you a chance to apply for multiple institutes through one test.
All the institutes offering Symbiosis undergraduate courses accept the SET score. This automatically increases the number of opportunities for the students. As compared to the other undergraduate courses in India, Symbiosis provides world class training. The combination of academic training and extra curricular activities is what makes the courses at Symbiosis worth pursuing. After all, the training that you get here helps you avail better career opportunities.
Here are five things you need to know about the SET Exam:
You need to register for the Symbiosis Entrance Test on the SET website. The registration is easy to do and barely takes ...
... a few minutes. The registration process will be complete only if you submit the fees and get an acknowledgement.
Apply separately to the institute that you are interested in.
Applying to SET does not mean that you have secured your registration at the institutes as well. Here you need to apply separately and submit a separate application fee as well.
Deadlines for SET may or may not be the same as the deadline of applying to the institutes that take the score. All students are requested to take note of the deadlines of respective institutes. Accordingly, submit your application on time.
Carrying the Admit card to the examination venue is mandatory. Without the admit card, the authorities are not going to allow you entry inside the examination hall.Carry a print out of the card with you on the day of exam. Alternatively, you can also seek a copy of the admit card if you lose the original. However, ensure that these nuances are taken care of before the examination date.
Prepare well in advance.SET is a national level test conducted every year. When it comes to preparing for the exam, students should start well in advance.Don’t leave preparations for the last minute. Above all, don’t keep cramming your head with concepts when you don’t actually need them. Plan your preparation wisely and you will see the difference.
Time is the key.
Like all national level entrance exams, time is crucial when you are appearing for the SET Exam. Keep this in mind. Time your responses and your ability to solve problems. These strategies will help you score better.
Keep a backup plan ready. Aiming for one Symbiosis institute is okay but not having a backup plan is bad. Simply put, we advise you to have a list of institutes where you can study.
