Inadequate bowel movements, frequent bloating of the stomach, flatulence etc may be the symptoms of indigestion. Factors that may help improve these conditions are water, fibrous diet such as vegetables and fruits. Consume a lot of green leafy vegetables and sprouted grams which not only have fibre in them but also contains enzymes which is essential for the body functioning. Even your brain requires enzymes for its own functioning. They break down the toxins that store up in your cells and bloodstream so that they can be safely excreted.

Fresh greens and grains useful for bowel movement are:

Cucumber
Drum stick
Green grams
Sprouted grams
Carrots
Cabbage
Spinach

Most of the above fibrous food can prove to be advantageous when it is eaten raw. It is said that when these food is eaten raw they are rich in enzymes which promotes bowel movement. If you take plant enzymes, most plant enzymes are quite stable in the stomach environment and go to work. This gives the plant enzymes an edge on digestion over animal/pancreatic enzymes. Plant enzymes can be working ...
... on food for at least an hour before the food proceeds to the small intestine. In addition to this, healthy skin, organs, teeth, breathing, brain function, and digestion depend on enzymes. Fibre also adds bulk to your faeces and generates an urge to be expelled out. This way a bowel movement is created naturally.

Do not forget the water along with fibrous food. If excessive fibrous food is added to your diet it may harm the mucuous membrane as it is hard. In addition to this, water is required to loosen up your stools. If not, it may augment the constipation problems.

Legumes, grams, corn and whole wheat bread have a lot of nutritional value besides adding fibre to your diet. They are rich in proteins, iron, minerals and anti oxidants too. Natural remedy for bowel problems is derived from plant materials, that is, the fruits, fresh greens and grains. It is also essential for proper weight maintenance and regulation of blood sugar.

In addition to these fresh greens and grains, drinking adequate amount of water can be of help in several of these cases, and even aid in their prevention. Diarrhoea, watery stool, can cause severe dehydration, so it is important to maintain body fluid if suffering from that. On the flipside, constipation can also use water to help break down the otherwise dry stool.
