How Easy Is It To Have An Online Business

So you want to be an online entrepreneur, don't we all? Ever since the phrase "dot com" millionaire was first heard we have all been wanting a piece of that action, but were do we begin?

We have all Googled "work from home", "online business", earn money online" etc. etc. etc. and we have all received hundreds of emails threatening to turn us into multi millionaires in just a few short weeks, if we believed what the hyped up sales pages that we read there would never ever be a recession again, simply because the whole of the email reading planet would actually be an online millionaire working no more than a couple of hours per week, if only this were true.

The only people that actually earn from these types of online systems are the owners of the website that promises you the earth for a measly $97 or if you buy now $47, you see these people not only have massive lists of desperate people wanting to live the dream but they also have affiliates working for them selling to people on their lists of people wanting to live the dream. Generally once you have paid your $47 to join the rich list it goes down hill rather ...
... rapidly after that, you then receive instructions how you could earn $20,000 per month, the program in most cases are ok until it gets to the part of where you get your customers from, 9 times out of 10 you need a list of subscribers to email to, GREAT another program that needs a bloody great list of names, you then think if I already had a list I would not need to spend money finding out how to become wealthy, I would already know.

Where do we get a list?, well there are a number of ways, you can buy one (why would you want to, firstly they are not cheap, secondly they have probably been sold to someone else before so they are not fresh and lastly they may not even be opt in names which will give you a spammers tag), you can rent one (same problems as above), you can use Google Adwords to get them (a very good source but can also be expensive), you can use banner adverts (again expensive) or you can use free advertising such as article marketing (my particular favourite).

The good things about building your own list is that if you keep your prospects interested with current information they may well buy from you at some point in the future (give them freebies such as audio and video training dvds, all of which can be found on the internet), if you have customers on your list and you have kept them updated and well informed they come to trust you, so when you do send out an email about a product you are recommending they will have no doubts about buying from you or the person you recommend. This way you do not have to have a massive list, although it won't be long.

Internet businesses that are successful are not the get rich quick schemes but the ones that have taken time to build, don't get me wrong once you have built a list of 1,000 names plus you will start earning money that you would have thought impossible before, you see you will always have those prospects so where some buy and some don't, the next time you email an offer, those that didn't buy last time may buy this time.

There are also businesses out there that do not require lists of any kind to make money, I have {{taught people with my free E-book "Cash in Days" "how I earned £36,990 in 6 days", it all depends on which kind of business you wish to become involved in, but you must be patient with the first one and build a steady list unless you have money to spend on Google Adwords.

You must understand that online marketing is not as difficult as many would have you think, you just need to be shown the right way to go about it.
