7 Restaurant Etiquettes To Bring Out Your Best Self

Be it a formal lunch meeting or a casual dining, restaurants are the hot choices for any kind of rendezvous. We always look for the best restaurants in our budget to head forward. But, are we ourselves in our best self? Check out these restaurant etiquettes that will not only create a positive impression about you on your clients and companions but also you will be the kind of customer every restaurant will truely like to have.
1. Take care of your dress-up- Always take care to dress-up fittingly for the occassion. If it is a formal meeting, go for formal or better semi-formal blazer and trouser. Women can prefer semi-formal dresses or skirts with proper embellishments. In case of casual gatherings, both men and women can style up to their hearts' content but do remember to maintain the decency.
2. Do not loiter you personal belongings over the table- Do not keep your personal belongings like mobile phones, car keys, etc. over the table. It is highly disturbing for the waiters to serve food and dishes when your personal things are kept here and there in the table. Alternately, you may also spoil them if by accident ...

But remember like you are returning today which will be going to someone else, likewise there is also a chance that you will be served with something returned from the other table. 5. Behave courteously with the waiter- Waiters serve us with courteous smile because you are their customer and it is their duty. They are in no ways slave to you. Behave couteously with them. Ask them your requirements in humble manner, inform them politely but also firmly if anything goes wrong. You can even spare a word or two of appreciation if you like their service. The whole gesture will only garner positive impressions of your clients, companions, restaurant staffs and everyone present on you.
6. Uncooked food should be reported and sent back- If you find your food not properly cooked, do report it (preferably firmly but politely) and sent them back. However, do not try this if you simply find a food not matching up to your taste or is too spicy or too bland. To be on the safer side, tell your taste and ask suggestions from the waiters or chefs prior ordering.
7. Take care of the spoon and fork when done- Finally, after you are done with the food, keep back your spoon, fork or other used cutlery into your plate. Kindly do not place them beside the plate and over the table cloth. Alternately after using your napkin keep it beside your plate and don't throw it over your used dish.
