There are many eye conditions that are common among Indian population and need proper eye care in order to be get treated such as astigmatism, blurry vision, cataracts and burning eyes. Many eye diseases have no early signs and symptoms; they may be painless or you may see no change in your vision until the disease gets advanced.
The best way to prevent loss of vision is getting regular eye examinations in an eye hospital. During these eye examinations, if you ever notice any change in your vision – contact your eye care specialist immediately for eye treatment.

Colour Blindness
Colour blindness is an eye condition in which the person finds difficulty in distinguishing between certain colours. However, not all colour blind people have trouble with same colours – some cannot differentiate between blues and yellows; some cannot separate reds and greens in dim light.

Colour blindness is a genetic condition caused due to responding nature of the light-sensitive cells found in your retina.
Symptoms of Colour Blindness
Some of the common symptoms of colour blindness are:
• Inability to see shades of the same colour
• Rapid eye movement
• Difficulty distinguishing between colours

Glaucoma
Glaucoma is an eye condition that occurs when a build-up fluid creates pressure in the eyes and then damages the optic nerve. The optic nerve plays an important role by transmitting information from your eyes to your brain. Any damage to it can lead to severe vision loss or even blindness.
Causes of Glaucoma
There are four different types of Glaucoma based on different causes:
• Chronic closed angle glaucoma
It occurs without any noticeable symptoms. Although exact causes are unknown, experts say that it may appear due to the loss of ability of the eyes to drain fluids.
• Acute closed angle glaucoma
Unlike chronic closed angle glaucoma, it appears suddenly and quite painfully. It occurs due to narrowing of the drainage angle between the iris and cornea. It is extremely serious type of eye condition that can cause immediate permanent vision loss.
• Secondary glaucoma
It occurs due any previous medical conditions such as injuries, irregularities or certain medications.
• Normal-tension glaucoma
It occurs when the tension in the eyes is strangely normal.
Symptoms of Glaucoma
Few symptoms associated with Glaucoma are:
• Severe eye pain
• Blurred vision
• Headache
• Nausea and vomiting
• Rainbow haloes
