If you want to buy toys for your dog, you have to keep in mind the safety of your dog and at the same time consider the durability and the joy it will bring to your dog. Below are some tips for you to consider when shopping for dog toys.

Make sure that the dog toy you buy is large enough for your dog to play with. Avoid small objects as toys since dogs are likely to choke on them.

Remember that dogs enjoy canvas toys or fleece since they're softer and more flexible.

Try looking for rope toy since these toys are not only fun for the dogs to chew and chase but can also act as dental floss and help clean their teeth. Rope toys best suit dogs that like to play tug-of-war with other dogs or with people.

Buy at least five dog toys that you can rotate to keep them occupied especially if they're in their dog crate.

Avoid buying raw hide, pig ears, and animal hooves as dog toys especially as chew toys because dog owners and veterinarians have discovered that these items are actually not appropriate or safe dog ...
... toys as dogs can chew these off into small portions and choke on them.

Balls are very popular dog toys but make sure to not give them any that are smaller than tennis balls as they can again choke on them.

These are just some of the things you need to remember when buying dog toys. Whether they serve as toys to keep them preoccupied when they're in their dog crate or to provide physical activities to keep them fit, make sure they are safe and sturdy enough for your dogs to enjoy.
