Below is the checklist of fire doors which could save many lives!

1.Gaps-

Gaps around the side and the top of the fire doors must be constantly less than 4 mm when the door is closed. Gaps must not be so large that fire and smoke can pass through the cracks.

2.Hinges-

All hinges must be firmly fixed, at least 3 or more of them. There must not be missing or broken screws. Fire doors should be well preserved, to ensure hinges open the door and examine the fittings.

3.Seals-

There must be intumescent seals around the doors or the doors’ frame, this is a type of substance that enlarges when exposed to heat, increasing in volume and decreasing in density. Confirm the seals are intact and there are no damages.

4.Closing-
