The most efficient and productive method of printing is the flexographic printing process which is a high speed printing process using fast drying inks and high revolutions. Flexographic printing prints at revolutions of 4,000 rpm or more which makes it perfect for printing repetitive patterned items such as wrapping paper and candy wrappers. This process is not only highly efficient in its speed it’s also one of the most accurate methods in the industry.
The flexographic printing process uses a raised plate made of rubber or plastic on a roller. The substrate, which is the material to be printed on, is moved through the doctor chamber where inks are infused onto the substrate. During this process the excess ink is extracted from the chamber and recycled which helps to make this a very efficient printing process. When a company uses flexographic printing they are making a commitment to accurate and efficient printing of the materials they need to package their products in or create the products with this process.
Over time this process has become the best way for publishers to produce the magazines and newspapers ...
... that are on sale. As the most effective process for printing a variety of production companies have figured out how to use this process to quickly and easily produce the materials they need for their items. When you buy a candy bar, wrapping paper, wallpaper or other item that has a continuous pattern it’s most likely it was printed using this printing process. This process can also be used to print the background for a variety of signs before the lettering is added to the sign.
With advanced technology the process of flexographic printing has made use of electronics in order to produce the plates for the printing process. In any production run there are times when the product is in accurate. Using a dynamic defect flagging process and software flags identify where these areas are that the material has not been printed correctly in order to give the company the ease of being able to remove this part of the material creating less waste than with other printing processes.
Designing the printing and the printing process is a skill that many printers have to develop. This process is not only used by production companies but also with a variety of printers who produce large amounts of printed materials for clients. It’s important that these printers understand the details of the design the templates can be in order to make sure they are cut appropriately. With the use of template making machinery, templates are now able to be produced using laser cutting technology.
The flexographic printing process is the most efficient process on the market today. By incorporating and ever changing technological advantage for this process many printers are able to create sharper and more accurate printings than ever before. In order to find the right company to gain your printed material from ask them about their printing process and see if they are using this productive and accurate process for your printings.
