For hundreds of years, people have constantly been dependent on using traditional biomass. With such huge population having such high dependence the biomass was bound to deplete over the time period. Energy consumption pattern has changed drastically as people are constantly in search for sustainable and efficient energy source.
With millions of people still using biomass as their energy source, it is most consumed fuel or energy source till date. People might have extracted the fossil fuels but still it has not reached up to everyone. Renewable energy has become a sustainable and green energy for people of developed countries but marginalized people of developing and poor countries still hasn't been able to access such energy. Utilization of firewood leads the traditional biomass consumption followed by coal, charcoal, agricultural wastes, twigs and forest based residues.

Traditional biomass is widely popular among rural areas as domestic fuels but biomass is also used for industrial purpose. Bamboo, miscanthus, hemp, poplar, corn, switchgrass, willow, sugarcane, along with variety of tree species like palm tree ...
... (palm oil) and eucalyptus trees are some of the major source of biomass for industrial purpose. Biomass can be further converted into bio fuels like bio diesel, ethanol and bio gas. Biomass contains energy which can be fermented to produce ethanol and anaerobically digested to produce bio gas.

Biomass energy is popular in some of the developed country like France where a station uses waste wood biomass as an energy source, and provides electricity and heat for 30,000 dwellings. It makes the utilization of excessive forest-based resources easy. Use of traditional biomass is the only energy source for many people living in remote areas of developing countries but what if same biomass could be used for better renewable energy production? Could people have access to renewable energy through biomass?

Bangladesh is one of the developing countries where more than half of the population live under poverty line and have access to basic solid fuels. Increasing population has led women to work hours for searching wood which lasts only for few days. With the help from the technical guidelines provided by Practical Answers people were able to generate bio gas utilizing the same solid fuels. The huge digester that was used supplied enough energy for cooking and electricity for small community. Leaving the traditional utilization, biomass renewable energy practices were introduced among the people of Bangladesh.

Through the online guides provided by Practical Answers, people of Bangladesh had access to renewable energy which protected their health and environment. Women didn't have to waste their time for searching wood all day. Guides of Practical Answers have also been able to reach Kenya and Sri Lanka where people were made aware about biomass utilization.

Biomass is not available in abundance but the production of bio gas through utilization of biomass makes it utilization efficient and green. People would also be able to access electricity not only cooking fuel. We all know the health consequence that comes along with solid fuel burning so helping people who have difficult just to access everyday fuel source makes the work done by Practical Answers praise worthy. Energy is not available freely and utilizing to our best advantage depends on us. Helping people who are in difficult condition of energy crisis through information improves their lives drastically in every way.
