These tools should be cleaned properly, as this would extend their life and for this simple soap and water should be used. In case, the paints used are oil based, then mineral spirits will have to be used for cleaning of the tools.

Step 3

For the cleaning of the bristles of the brush, a paint comb should be used. Once the same has been cleaned properly, all the water should be shaken off from the brush and the squeezed out of the roller.

The clean brushes should be hung in order to allow all the water to drain out.

All the protective covering placed on light fixtures, outlet covers and other spaces on the wall should be removed carefully and gently.
