Dining out with friends and family has been loved by one and all. But sometimes instead of becoming a memorable, it becomes the worst. Why? Worst food? No! Unprofessional staff? No. or was it a result of both. Or maybe it was some your fault. Very little do we know that it is our gestures that make our dining experience bad? So, let us see what are those gestures which we should avoid?

Watch your body language

Professional servers will not interrupt until you are undecided about what to order. But, how would they know that you are now ready to order? Your simply putting down the menu card down would give them the green signal to approach you. However, you can pick the menu card again to show them what you want to order.

Try to put your order together

If you are sure about what and how much to order, place it in one go. Otherwise, making the waiter come to you again and again might lead him to put your order n hold and serve other s who he or she has been neglecting so far for you. Ordering at once is the most convenient way to get the best service. Or, you can divide the order into starters, main ...
... course and then desserts if you plan to have a 3- course meal with your friends and family.

Have a complaint? Register it gently

If you have a complaint regarding the food quality or the way it has been served, register the complaint without showing off any attitude to the waiter. If you do so, that negative feeling would continue to be there and you won’t be able to enjoy. We all are humans and so mistakes are inevitable. Be adjusting and understanding.

Mind your manners

Be well mannered. Give credit to the waiter if he has served you well. If you know his name by his badge, address him by his name. They are working hard round the clock to serve you better. So they need to be appreciated.

So, next time when you go with your friends and family to enjoy an outing, keep these points in mind and act accordingly. You will notice that the dining experience is amazing and you are coming out making new memories and desire to visit the place again and again. It is not only in the hands of restaurant or hotel people to make your evening the best, but it is up to you also how and what you make out of it. So, give your best and in return get the best service from the restaurant.
