Some of them have allergic reactions to certain food products. If they are prone to digestive problems then it is better they avoid it. If you can't reduce the symptoms of gastro intestinal disfunctioning with the help of medications, stop eating those food products which causes adverse reactions. Poor digestion leaves the body and the immune system in the same predicament that poor nutrition does. As a result, you suffer from symptoms such as abdominal pain, allergic symptoms, a burning sensation after eating, heart burn due to indigestion, chronic bowel irritation, belching, a bloated feeling, chronic fatigue, diarrhea, constipation, gas, insomnia, joint and muscle pain, vomiting, rumbling noises and skin disorders. Lactose intolerance, gallstones, and diverticulitis are other digestive complaints that can significantly reduce your well-being by causing pain. Therefore restrict what you eat which is rich in acid content.

The following are certain substances that you should be avoiding or only use it occasionally to ensure a healthy digestive system. Alcohol, caffeine, fried food, artificial sweetners, chocolates, acidic ...
... food, carbonated drinks are the ones which cause heartburn, indigestion, vomiting, bowel irritation etc. and must be avoided.

Your stomach acid may be enhanced with the consumption of citrus fruit like oranges, lemon and tomatoes. They result in acid refluxes and must be avoided by people with acid indigestion.

Similarly beverages containing alcohol such as beer, vodka, whisky, gin increases the level of acid in your stomach. Having it occasionally in small quantity is recommendable if you can't completely stop it!

Colas, soda and other carbonated drinks bring about heart burn and they hinder your health too. Refrain from them completely or else reduce its intake. Another beverage is coffee which is high in caffeine, it is better to restrict consumption of coffee. It increases production of gastric acid.

Water is necessary for all biological systems. It is good to keep your body hydrated. It also facilitates to wash off any toxins in the body. Sometimes, your bacterial flora can get depleted, such as when taking antibiotics, poor diet or excess sugar consumption. This allows the yeast to overgrow, which can then lead to a variety of problems. Enzymes in the saliva also help break down the food. After the food travels through the esophagus, it reaches the stomach where more enzymes and acids will continue working on breaking down the food. When food high in acid is consumed it does not get broken down easily. Digestive aids facilitate your body to stay and feel healthy.
