Don't Let Your Digital Projector Lamp Go Dim
Watching movies on a digital projector is a lot of fun. People have built their own movie theaters in their homes with these projectors, and their popularity is on the rise. Nothing can ruin movie night, though, quite like when the projector lamp goes out. While this can be a real hassle, you don't have to deal with it as often as you have been. There are things you can do to ensure a longer lifespan for your digital projector lamp so you can watch more movies and have more fun before you need a replacement.
The first thing that you can do to keep your light burning is very simple. In fact, it is so simple that many people often forget to do it. When you purchase your digital projector and install it, plug it into a surge protector. You don't have to have hurricane strength winds rip through your town in order for an electrical surge to blow out your projector lamp. Stay safe and use a surge protector.
The next thing is also very simple, although it is something that people don't always like to do. When you use a digital projector, you are using a piece of equipment that is very sensitive to dust. Because ...
... of that, it is up to you to make sure to do your weekly dusting. You don't have to go too far with it, but wipe down everything in the room, including the projector so your lamp won't get taken over by dust and have a blow out.
After you set up your projector and have the room dusted, you can then change the mode of the projector. If you switch to economy mode, your lamp will not produce as much light. When it does not produce as much light, it will not burn out as quickly. A lot of people think that the more light the better, but in most cases, the average viewer will not even be able to tell the difference.
There are things you can also do when watching movies. First, you need to make sure that your projector lamp does not overheat. If it overheats, you might end up cleaning up glass because the bulb might explode. Check on it every once in awhile to make sure that it is running correctly.
You also need to be mindful of turning the projector on and off. Don't turn the projector off just because you want to pause a movie. If you need a break and you are planning on going back to watching the movie in a little bit, just leave it on.
You don't have to deal with you projector lamp frequently burning out. In fact, as long as you stay on top of things, that should not be a problem for you at all. Just be smart when it comes to your lamp so you can get the proper amount of use out of it.
