It is often said that people with dry hair must avoid chemical exposure which their hair locks are subjected to while straightening, colouring or perming? Why is this? It is simple! This is because it augments the dryness of your locks and creates dandruff and dry scalp problems. What can you do in such a situation, if you have time to wait to get them straightened, here are some tips.

Before considering straightening, perming or coloring of your dull locks, you can consider few natural care tips to bring your locks back in a good condition. You must first take care of them, maintain good balance of the sebum production in your scalp, and then go for chemical treatment. Add shine and bounce to your locks by making use of natural tips. Make sure that the shampoos and conditioners used are all natural and specifically fitting to your hair type.

Firstly, if you have dandruff problems resolve them. Make use of mild shampoo so that they do not further deteriorate your condition and increase the dryness. You can also consider using lime on your scalp, post oil treatment. If you need shine to your locks, you can make ...
... it look healthy by using fenugreek paste which is prepared by making a thin paste of the soaked fenugreek seeds. It is also cooling to your body! Leave them for an hour and wash them with cold water preferably if not use luke warm. Avoid using hot water as it may further worsen your scalp condition and robs the natural moisture from the hair.

Hot oil therapy, massage your scalp and locks with luke warm oil and leave them for few minutes before washing them of with mild shampoo and cold water. Third tip is to eat green leafy vegetables like spinach, carrots, nuts and whole wheat grains to boost the healthy condition of your locks. Milk and cheese along with meat, fish and eggs can be consumed if you are a non vegetarian. Peach, blue berry and apricot are rich fruit used to improve their condition. Anti-oxidants and vitamins are indispensable for their healthy growth too.

Last tip is to help maintain them in good condition post chemical treatment! You must condition your hair after using a mild shampoo. Use conditioner specific for colored locks or for straightened locks. Do not forget the oil massage, consult your stylist if you can use oil, post chemical treatment. Avoid using blow dryer frequently. Eat healthy and enjoy the beauty of your locks!
