A Physician Assistant handles various tasks such as take medical histories, examining, preventing, diagnosing, testing and treating of disease and assisting in the surgery. They also treat minor injuries such as wounds; removing casts; changing dressings and providing injection. Most of Pas in do counseling for the patients who need it. Thus, they deserve a good yearly income.

According to the American Academy, the starting salary for a fresh graduate PA was $76,232 while in full-time clinical practice in 2008 was $89,987; but some experienced physician assistants earned in the $119,000 to $200,000 range.

As we can see, a more experienced PA can earn more money; they can make six figures income per year. These groups of PA have more working opportunities as the physicians know the benefits of having a good assistant. Besides the tasks which are mentioned earlier, a PA also assist their supervision other tasks such as preparing reports and documents.

It is no doubt if they earn less at low living cost region. Of course, a PA who works long hours will gets more money. A physician assistant can boost up their incomes by pursuing other related training program in medical school.
