The Importance Of Cloth And Fabric Manufacture For The Economy
Proof of the first woven cloth was found in a tomb in China by a group of archaeologists. The piece of cloth dated back 2500 years ago and showed characteristics that surprised the finders. The cloth had been preserved very well and was a proof of the weaving and dyeing technologies that had been present during those early times. The finders discovered a large number of silk and cotton pieces of cloth from more than forty coffins that they had dug up. The largest piece was more than 130 centimeters long and more than 50 centimeters wide. The red color of the cloth had come from a dye made from Vermillion.
Start of cloth manufacture
Since 1947, the cloth manufacturing industry has employed thousands of people and had provided them jobs. The economy had been driven a large extent by the Home Textiles Company India and others that came up after the country became independent. The fabrics manufactured by this company for domestic consumption included towels and other items used for bathing. It also includes linen for the bed such as bed sheets and bed covers. The company also manufactures cloth for pillows and their ...
... covers, sofa covers, curtains and bed skirts. Most of the products are made from cotton only. It manufactures different types of fabrics like satins, twills, plain traditional fabrics and many more.
Production of yarn for cloth
The yarns are woven with the help of modern looms to make the cloth. The yarn is the final product of cotton that reaches the factory in bales. The cotton from the bales is drawn into threads, and then made into slivers that are again spun to make yarn. The yarn made from a large number of fibers is strong enough to be woven to form the cloth that is used for making clothes. Most of the companies like Yarns Company India and others produce top grade yarn that is used by the companies themselves and others to produce world-class fabrics.
Production of the denim fabric
Denim is a type of cloth that has a high demand worldwide. The denim that was first manufactured in the United States became very famous because it was used to make jeans and jackets. The denim was made by using a special dyeing and weaving process due to which the fabric became very tough. The pants made from this tough fabric were called jeans that became famous for their ability to handle rough use. The fabric has seen an increased usage only recently and the Denim Company India started producing the fabric in real earnest a few years back.
I have written many articles on Home Textiles Company India which have been appreciated by the readers.
