The Various Types Of Slabs Used For Paving

The surfaces which are found in the inside and outside of the building can be covered by using various different kinds and varieties of slab. The slabs which are used for paving can be made up of materials which are natural such as bluestone, sand stone and lime stone, these slabs are also found in various other materials which is inclusive of granite, slate and marble. Instead of the materials that are natural even the concrete slabs which are manufactured can also be used. The appearance at the finishing stage and the qualities of each type of slab is unique.

Types of slabs which are used for paving:

There are various kinds of paving slabs in Kent which are used and some of them are discussed below:

Paving slabs made out of limestone:
These types of stones are made up of queried stones which are natural. The slabs of this type are generally used for the courtyard, walkways and patios. The material used in these slabs is durable.

Sand stone:
One of the other kinds of sedimentary material which is natural is known as sand stone. The slabs of this kind is very much uniform in the texture ...

Paving in blue stone:
These slabs are generally used in the walkways, driveways and patio. The materials which these stones are made up of are the sand and the quartz. The colour in which these slabs are available is blue and gray.

Slate slabs:
These are the slabs which are not much expensive and these slabs can be used to pave all the kinds of surfaces. If you want to use this material for the purposes of driveway paving the material should be fixed in the base of mortar. The maintenance which is required by these types of slabs is typically less.

Granite:
The slabs which are used for paving is done by granite then it is much durable. These slabs which are made up of granite are the ones which are designed and usually used for paving patios, driveways, walkways, courtyards etc… in the present period the slabs which are made up of granite can also be used for interior flooring and is not much expensive. The paving slabs which are manufactured synthetically can also be used for applications in paving.

Paving slabs in marble:
One of the paving slabs which is very costly is the marble paving slabs. For both the surfaces the exterior and interior these slabs offer a look which is elegant. The choices of colour in these slabs are more natural than the other materials which are available for paving. The marble is one of the strong materials which are used for paving.

Paving slabs made of concrete:
The slabs which are made up of concrete are a one which is manufactured by man thus it can be done in any shape, thickness and size which you need. The slabs of these types are the ones which is more versatile. These slabs can be stamped or stenciled with various kinds of patterns and designs.
