Folding Chairs: Costing You More Than You Think!

Whether it’s for a large concert or a small convention everyone has used folding chairs. Why not? They seem easy and get the job done. In reality, when you use folding chairs you’re not getting the job done right. Here are a few reasons why folding chairs could actually be hurting your reputation when it comes to event planning.
1) They look unprofessional : It takes hours to set up folding chairs and you work hard to make sure every single one is in its place and within 5 minutes of your guest walking in they are all out of alignment. By the end of your event your seating looks like an unprofessional nightmare.
2) They Are Unsafe: When the chairs “serpentine” they become a huge safety issue. People can’t get in and out of their rows in an orderly fashion in case of an emergency. Chairs can also be picked up, moved, and even thrown in a rowdy environment. Trust us not all press is good press you don’t want the headlines “Death by Folding Chair” to be associated with your event.
3) Water Pools on them: The weather is unpredictable. A beautiful sunny day can turn into a bad rainstorm in ...
... a matter of minutes. When you use folding chairs they are going to collect all that rain. It will take hours to have a staff member dry off every single chair before your guests arrive. Trust us no one wants to sit on a wet chair.
4) They sink into the ground: Even if you have The Flash running around drying off your chairs in a matter of seconds, you still can’t prevent them from sinking into the ground once a guest sits on them. You want your guests to enjoy themselves right? No one is having fun when they feel too heavy to keep a chair from sinking.
5) They take up so much room: The standard folding chair requires a minimum of 36” of row depth and even then it is a very tight space. This makes it difficult for guests to get up and move between aisles. Your guests already feel bad about themselves with your sinking chairs, now they have to “suck it in” to go to the bathroom.
6) They limit seating capacity: Since they take up so much room you can’t have as many seats meaning you’re losing potential revenue.
