If you ask people to randomly name top photography areas, chances are better than average that wedding photography would not be one of the top ones mentioned, if mentioned at all. Perhaps for a good reason, as well.

It is not that wedding photography is a fairly new aspect and sector of the overall photography business. It is not. In fact, the history of photography and wedding photography dates back to more or less the same time period (1820-1840).

But it was not until very recently(the last few decades) that wedding photographers received professional respect and commensurate income. Today, wedding photography is a mega-dollars business worldwide. While some photographers specialize only in wedding photography, others change fields and come to it after specializing in news, documentary, or celebrity photography.

While couples take wedding pictures to record the memory of their union, the art and logistics of wedding photography has changed around the globe, including in many Asian countries like South Korea, commonly known as Korea.

... couples have opted to go to one of Korea’s wedding photo studios. Then it became common to take pictures in front of various scenic, historic, or important city sites and then make a mixed album of all the photos.

That change has prompted many Korean wedding photography businesses to put together Korean pre-wedding photoshoot packages so couples can choose an option that fits their needs and budget best. The photography studios and photographers are not the only ones offering multiple options.

Wedding ceremonies, and all associated services, have become such a big business in Korea that even wedding halls and hotels have solicited the help and expertise of top-name international wedding consultants to assist them in providing Korea wedding package.

While most people can have their wedding on a relatively inexpensive budget, some major hotels offer all-inclusive packages that start at $100,000. That is because Korea is a rich country by most standards. In fact, it is the richest Asian country.

According to the American research company Gallup, South Korea’s median per capita income ranked 8th in household income, with families showing median income of just under $41,000. When it came to per capita income, South Korea ranked 15th with $11,350. In both categories, South Korea ranked higher than any other Asian country.
