Go to google, yahoo, or bing and search the internet on how are you going to make your internet faster and what you are going to get are bunches of software that claiming that they are going to make your internet fast then ever. But they do have a backlash, most of them are only demos in which you have to buy the licensed one within 30 days or else it will then expire and will not function anymore.

Here I will teach you on how you are going to make your internet faster than ever before without buying any software. What you are going to need in this tutorial is Windows XP Professional. Windows XP Home Edition is not supported in this tutorial because of its limited features. Also any edition of Vista or seven is not supported by this tutorial at this time.

First you should have administrative rights in order to make this tutorial. So lets go, turn on your computer then go to "start" menu then choose "run" the the run window type gpedit.msc then press enter of click ok. If you are wondering what gpedit.msc is. GPEDIT.MSC is the program name of "Group Policy Object Editor" built in default within windows xp professional. ...
...

Windows home edition don't have group policy object editor that's why it is not supported by this document. After group policy object editor opened, click the plus sign of "Administrative Templates" under "Computer configuration" not the one under "User configuration". After that, click the plus sign of "Network". Then click "QoS Packet scheduler" (do not click the plus sign) just click QoS Packet scheduler.

Next, focus your attention at the right corner of the window. You should see an entry "Limit reservable bandwidth". If you see it just double click it. A window named "Limit reservable bandwidth properties" should open at this stage. Then click click "Enabled" then make the value of "Bandwidth limit (%)" to zero (0) then click okay then close the window. That's it you're done.

Question: What is reservable bandwidth limit of windows? Why do we altered it? Is it safe?

Answer: Reservable bandwidth limit of windows xp is the bandwidth that is being reserved by windows by default for use in its background internet services just like windows update. So, in reality if you don't altered it. You are only using 80% of your bandwidth when you are browsing the internet. Yes, IT IS SAFE because only the bandwidth reserved is the one you altered no more else.

For you to fully understand what I am saying go back to QoS Packet Scheduler portion of the Group Policy Object Editor by following the steps mentioned above then click "Limit reservable bandwidth". (Do not double click it) just click it once. Then a description will appear. Then just read them. That's it enjoy your 100% bandwidth connection for your internet.
