Depression is a crucial change or condition found in humans and it has to be treated immediately like any other medical condition. There are three types of depression found in humans.

They are clinical depression, manic depression or bipolar disorder and teen depression. Clinical depression is caused when something bad happens to a close relation. When left untreated the clinical depression may go very severe, intense and may even lead to death. Some of the symptoms found in a person suffering from clinical depression are pessimistic feelings in excess, suicidal thoughts, drug addiction, alcohol abuse, excessive sleeping, fatigue, significant loss or gain in weight and a feeling of worthlessness. In case of manic depression or bipolar disorder, it is an illness caused mentally that result in extreme mood swings.

Some of the signs and symptoms of this manic depression are lavish spending of money, getting distracted and irritated easily, prolonged speech, unusually pressured, sleeplessness, racing thoughts and ideas. Some of the signs and symptoms of teen depression are drug and alcohol abuse, hopelessness, a feeling of helplessness, sadness, temper, anxiety, ignorance, suicidal temptations, loss of memory, agitation, violent dreams, distractions, difficulty in concentrating, thoughts to run away from home and friends, hallucination and violent thinking.

These are the possible types of depression that would occur in humans. When these symptoms are found they must be treated immediately before the occurrence of complications.
