Modern Wedding Videos
While wedding photos offer a great keepsake to remember your big day (and I'm sure you'll have seen enough of everyone else's to know just how much they get appreciated), wedding videos offer something extra and are really a great way to capture the special day.
While photos show everyone posing and smiling they're often rather staged looking. Meanwhile wedding videos can capture people in action and all the little funny or sweet things that can happen. It's one of the few times you'll get to see everyone you know and love interacting in the same place but unfortunately you'll be too torn in every direction to be able to spend time with them all or even really see them very much. This way you'll have eyes everywhere and will be able to enjoy seeing everyone appreciate you and interacting from the comfort of your own home. This way you can actually see how straight-laced Uncle Tim got on with crazy Jeremy from Uni.
In this way wedding videos make not just great keepsakes for the wedding itself, but also for your friends and family. In ten years time you will be able to look back on them and see how your social network ...
... used to look and act. It's a lot different from a bunch of static photos which trigger memories, as this way you get to see how they actually acted, how they laughed and maybe how they cried. And of course you'll also be able to see how you used to look yourself
Then of course there's the fact that the videos so accurately capture the atmosphere. If ever you've been rock climbing or hiking and taken a bunch of photos of the view you'll know that still photos always fail to capture the impact of what you saw in person or the scale. With a video however you can get a sense of the size, of the atmosphere and the time - and the same applies to your wedding.
This means that the wedding will capture your proceeding up the isle, friends and family arriving and leaving, the sermon, the dancing, the spectacular cakes, the suites and the dresses in a way that photos could not. This way you can truly relive the moment and can share it with family and friends. Now with Facebook and YouTube you can even upload the videos and show your whole social network (of course they'll just be dying to see how happy you are), and it can also be great fun tagging friends who did come in the videos so the world can see just how well they dance and sing along to Celine Dion.
This new digital format also means you can put them on CDs or memory sticks and share them with people that way. There are more benefits too however, and once you have the wedding videos on your computer you can pick freeze frames and capture still images that capture the moment - meaning you'll have photos from the entire day should you want them. With a video you'll be able to capture every moment of a day you'll want to live over again and again.
These guys have made a few of my friends wedding videos which have not been the same old boring thing. They actually specialise as wedding videographers in Melbourne, Australia.
