Avenues Of Creativity And Innovations Among Employees
Most of the corporate companies have a forum (Company’s internal Blogs or an email id) for the employees to log their ideas as and when they come across while working. Ideas can be of any sort and any number of ideas can be logged by an employee.
There is an evaluation team comprises of team managers to segregate the ideas received into two major categories. Process Related and Non Process Related.
Non Process Related ideas like say for eg. An ATM machine in the company premises will benefit all the employees, is sent to the admin manager for feasibility study and implementation. On implementation the employee who logged the idea gets one credit point and the employee (Admin Team) who implemented the idea gets two credit points.
Process related ideas are discussed with the employee who logged it and the manager does the feasibility study for implementation. First priority is given to the employee who logged the idea for implementation. On implementation the employee gets one credit point for logging and two credit points for the implementation. Employee gets an additional credit point for preparing documentation ...
... of the process.
The employee gets one more additional credit point on sharing the implemented idea in the Best Practice Meeting which happens in a periodic interval (weekly / fortnight / monthly) with other team members.
All these credit points are given weight-age during the appraisal, based on the quality and quantity of ideas logged and implemented.
There is Case Study Forum for Process Managers, where all ideas/ issues faced with the process /customers / team members/ company along with the solution provided are shared with other process managers after the resolution is made to the issues or ideas implemented. Other Managers can suggest better alternate solutions for optimization. Credit points are given to the managers on sharing the critical ideas/issues.
Additional credit points are given to the manager based on the quality and quantity of issues/ ideas shared in the forum.
Certificates are issued to the employees for the Best Performer based on the volume of transaction processed, quality of work done after doing an audit on the transaction processed.
Organizations do conduct periodic assessment test for employees on the latest development in the process / technology etc and provide certificates based on the scores they get.
Next level managers AVP / VP will monitor the out-come of the BPM Best Practice Meeting and CSF Case Study Forum on a regular basis to use it while doing a process change or policy change.
