Water consumption is one of the most important areas where we can make changes to start reducing the monthly bills. The very idea of flushing water away is something that has been tormenting environmentally conscious people for a long while now. Until the introduction of the dual flush valve system, people from all over the world who were aware of the significant benefit that saving water has for our environment were finding ingenious ways to use less water when flushing the toilet. A common option was to place a couple of bricks or even bottles filled with water in the toilet tank. Though this was an effective way is way to reduce water consumption, the same smaller amount of water used for both solids and fluids often lead to blockages.

The idea for the dual flush valve was born from the need to use a smaller amount of water by distinguishing between solid and liquid waste. This type of flush valve uses far less water than regular systems. In order to optimize water consumption, the dual flush valve system offers its user the opportunity of choosing between two types of flush: one for solids and a shorter flush for ...
... fluids. This is a great idea since we can all tell that the amount of water we need for a solid flush and those for a fluid flush are very different. In fact, in the case of the short flush the water needs are cut down to half, so only about three liters of water are needed by the dual flush system to remove liquid waste.

This flush valve was designed with one thing in mind: to keep water consumption to the absolute minimum whilst maximizing ease of use and functionality. The dual flush system achieves this with a completely new type of button action. This new technology allows users to press the action button on the flush valve with the greatest of ease. In fact the button is so light that you can push it with the tip of a long fingernail. The ease of use makes it an ideal choice especially when the toilet will be used by very small children, the elderly, or the handicapped.
