Essential Flying Tips For First Time Flyers

You have booked your air ticket abroad. You are all thrilled to spend a holiday vacation. But, it’s your first time for an air travel and you have no clue what’s waiting for you once you arrived at the airport, what to pack, document to bring, check in for your flight, get through security and embarkation form.
Therefore, before you are flying for the first time follow these tips to always be prepared:
Documents Needed
Be sure you have your airline ticket, as it gives important information about your travel. To be on board, you need a boarding pass. You have the option to check online and print your boarding pass before you go to the airport. If you have an e-ticket your boarding pass will be issued. Traveling abroad requires a passport.
Confirmation of Flight
If you have selected to fly via major airlines like the US carriers, you don’t have to worry about confirming your flight. If there are delays, they would inform you. But if you choose to fly with by less-known carrier, it is best to confirm at least 24 hours before you scheduled departure.
Time to Arrive at Airport

Checking In

Be sure your bag is unlocked or ask the person at the counter to put safety-checked, this is a sticker with the luggage and take a receipt of your checked-in luggage. If you have any changes in the flight, ask for transit details. You will get an embarkation form; you must fill up it carefully. To avoid confusion, ask assistance from the airline staff. Now, go to the security checkpoint and on to your departure gate.
Immigration Counter
At this stage the immigration officer will ask for your different documents such as passport, boarding pass, ticket and the embarkation form. He might also ask about your real purpose of the visit so you need to be prepared. One the process is finished at the immigration counter, and then proceeds to the custom counter. The customs officer will then stamp your boarding pass.
Security check
Have an X-ray of your luggage that you are carrying inside the flight. For personal security, you need to pass through a metal detector. Once finished, the security officer will put a "security checked" stamp on your boarding pass. Then after the whole process, gather your luggage to proceed further.
Ready to board the plane
You are now ready to board the plane. Go to the departure gate and check for the number written on your boarding pass. Once you are on the flight, find you seat number indicted in your boarding pass. You can also ask the cabin crew to help you load your luggage in the overhead bins. The flight attendant will show you a video illustration the safety features of the aircraft before flying.
Arriving at Your Destination
