Web Design Showcase In Australia And New Zealand

It is often thought that web design trends come from places like Europe and America as these places are thought to be traditionally the centre of everything. But what about other, extremely remote, pristine, almost unspoiled parts of the world, such as Australia and New Zealand.
It turns out, in the days of the Internet era, geographical location has lost its relevance, allowing places like New Zealand and Australia to push boundaries and design some of the best websites in the world. Not only only are they creating cutting edge films and fashion but they can also teach us a thing or two about modern, timeless web design.
To give you an insight into some of the interesting stuff happening, we have compiled a showcase of some of the more inspiring websites being produced in Australia and New Zealand.
This is just a small example of the work being created in Australia and New Zealand. We hope you have enjoyed the designs as much as we did.
We have also been predicting some of the web design trends of 2015:
Large Background Images
This trend is already huge but we expect more large ...
... background images in 2015, being used with well designed typography and subtle parallax effects.
Responsive design
We will see responsive design practices become more important in 2015. 2015 should also mark the death of the mobile website. Websites will be designed to work across all devices and wont show a different website altogether.
Parallax Effect
We are seeing it more often and it is almost being over done but 2015 should see it being used in more subtle and clever ways to add to stron, minimal designs.
Junction Boxes and Card-based design
The junction box isn’t dead and is actually making a strong comeback in a web world that requires a responsive website.
Vibrant Colours
Vibrant, unexpected colours, contrasted with subtle and muted images. Put together with large scale typography and soft textures and solid shadows
Flat Designs
An obvious prediction but we will be seeing the flat design movement everywhere in 2015. Simple timeless design will be the key to this years design predictions.
We will continue the New Zealand and Australia design showcase with the following future articles.
