Don't you want to save your money while traveling? It just takes a few minutes of your time to read this article and it may help you save your travel expenses to a great extent and avoid any trouble. Firstly, learn how to keep your money safe. Make use of a hotel's safety locker to protect against any kind of theft.

Carry a travel pouch to have your valuable items with you. It should be a hidden pouch so that it is safe with you. It should be handy around your waist or around your neck so that you can assure its safety all the time. It is safe to use your credit cards rather than carry cash every where. Added advantage is that it offers you good currency exchange along with consumer protection.

Always compare rates be it flight rates, hotel rates or travel agent's fee. An adequate research or quote comparision aids you in obtaining better results. Check if your insurance plan covers you outside your State. If it does, it saves you from getting another travel insurance.

Do not forget to check for hotel's hidden charges such as house keeping charges, parking fees, bell hopping services, gym or fitness centre ...
... fees etc. Some hotels charge you for parking your car, find out if it is free of cost. If not, you can book for a hotel which offers you these services free of cost. Always, find out what would be the telephone calls - be it local, international calls. Do they charge you any money even for a toll free number? Some have a bad reputation of charging you for your toll free calls too. Instead, the best advice to save funds is to use calling cards at a pay phone. You can also check with your mobile phone company if they can arrange for phone calls to be used else where at a reasonable cost.

If you have ordered for a drink, think before you tip him as there would be a bartender's gratuity fees already added to your hotel bill. Avoid tipping him if you are already charged for it. You may end up paying fee for the mere presence of sports equipment. You don't have to use the equipments to be charged a fee. Get them away from your room if you think you are not going to use them.

When you are away from home, keep photocopies of all the documents that you are carrying along with you. This will safe guard your documents and avoid any inconvenience if you lose your wallet or baggage.
