4 Main Reasons To Become A Physician's Assistant

Physician's Assistant (PA) is a blooming career nowadays replacing the traditional medical practitioner. There aren't many geniuses who can make their way through to medicine and there is a dire need for more physician's assistants in a medical setting. If you think you're too old to go into medical practice or if you think that being a doctor is too much of a hassle but you do not want to become a nurse, you should choose PA instead. Five main reasons for you to immerse in this field are:
1. Period of education
In order for you to get a Medical Degree, it will take five years and if you are working already, you will not want to spend another five years studying. PA courses take only two years to complete. How time saving is that?
2. Similar to doctor
Aside from not having fancy white coat, and medical degree you will still be able to do jobs that a doctor does. You will get to take X-rays, taking medical histories, examining and treating patients, prescribing medication, treating minor injuries as well as managing and supervising other medical staff.
3. Licensure
If you emerge yourself ...
... in PA field, you are also able to obtain license to practice which is known as the Physician Assistant National Certification Examination (PANCE) if you are in the United States of America. It is not always doctors only who can get their license to practice.
4. In demand
PAs today are on demand as doctors are busy day in and day out with surgeries, reports writing, management of other doctors, supervising the PAs and the trainees, building rapport with the patients, cracking their brains to help the patients cure their illnesses and etc. PAs are there to help the doctors take medical histories of the patients, examining and analyzing X-rays, evaluate blood tests, suture patients who needs stitches and treating normal illnesses such as common cold or flu. It is also more cost effective to hire a PA instead of a doctor.
If you are not into being neither a doctor nor a nurse but still are interested in working in medical settings, why not choose to become a PA? It is always worth a try because you will never know if you do not.
