What Is With Their Stats Assignment Nowadays That Gives My Kids Such A Serious Time?
My children are currently in college, and it is not unusual to find that stuck and baffled, and the reason is ordinarily the same: they are late with their statistics assignment. So far they have done alright in everything, but yet they are experiencing serious issues with whatever that smells like math. They can even master their math, but I can't say what is the matter with their statistics, since they are not getting it. A lot of work and no answers is their everyday bread, and still nothing seems to change and the same problems repeat themselves over an over. I don't understand why this needs to happen, when they are perfectly normal students, with even a strong wish for the math sciences including statistics?.
I'm totally positive that the reason is due to a wrong strategy to teaching stats. Being myself an educator, I can state, with the fear of stating something wrong that I absolutely know the cause of the issue, and it really shocks me me that no one really mentions it. It turns out that kids in fact are not punishable of the slaughter we can experience at any considerable stats course. Because, let's go to ...
... the bottom of it, a large part of students face some very easy needs, and it is sufficient for them to restate formulas like a parrot. It is really easy to go through a class that way, almost with no scratches, but you go figure what do they truly learn out of it. And then you find those that have to face some teachers that seem to think that their pupils are some form of experts, and will assign an excessive amount of statistics homework. Youngsters sink subsequently. Why? I still haven't reached the solution, right?The clear and simple truth is that students are being screwed, because they are driven to believe that they have learn and comprehend statistics as an standalone entity, when the is no reason to think a average anthropomorphic being could learn statistics without going over a conventional course in Probability Theory. It is as easy as that. It is unimaginable to understand the end of a account without being familiar the first part of it. And it this instance, Statistics is the end of a story that commences with Probability, and there is no option of turning back the order or cut parts. I have constantly questioned why they do it. And then they quetch because a majority of students are trying to find statistics homework help online, because they cannot find it within the traditional class room context, because they are pressured to understand of a story without knowledge of the beginning of it.
Is there any way to find the answer to the problem?. College devise their schemes on the air, by dreaming of the ideal prerequisites for some specific degrees. They design in their minds a way they wish it could be a reality but sadly it doesn't work in many aspects, as we have seen. They are not aware of the process of math learning, because they wish to create experts in a domain by jumping the essential steps to obtain that level of expertise, and that is for certain dangerous, no doubt about it. They are willing to create experts, but apparently they don't have the comprehension of the needs to create that expert. I suppose it is the time to re-think all these ostentatious academic programs, and put our foundations onto something slightly more solid.
