Tips To Improve Your Irritable Bowel Condition!

You may have been suffering from bowel irritation for long and would like to know what food to eat when you are ill. Avoid certain food products which may be your favourite but it is good to be avoided in order to stop your irritable bowel symptoms from aggravating. These symptoms could be bloating, gas, cramping, diarrhea or constipation and sometimes you can see both that characterize irritable bowel syndrome. Food to be avoided include; red meat, dairy products, fatty and fried foods, coffee, alcohol, carbonated beverages, solid chocolate, and artificial sweeteners.

Food to be avoided:

Alcohol
Red meats
Caffeine (found in tea, coffee and soda)
Aerated drinks or Carbonated drinks (like soda)
Chocolate
Wheat
Food high in fat
Dairy products
Fried foods
Citrus fruits
Gluten (a protein found in barley, wheat and rye)
Artificial sweeteners (things like sorbitol)

Take simple and healthy food. Avoid above food as they are irritating or stimulating to the bowel. Drink plenty of water and eat food rich in fiber such as fresh fruits, vegetables, ...
... variety of beans such as lima beans and kidney beans, cereals and whole grain bread. Improve your digestive condition by eating all that is healthy for you.

Ease symptoms of indigestion and improve your bowel condition. The nerves controlling the flow of fecal material become overactive, changing the sufferer's natural elimination cycle and causing diarrhea, constipation or both. Abdominal pains relieved by defecation, severe cramping and a discharge of white mucous in the stool are also indications of irritable bowel syndrome. IBS is characterized by abdominal pain, changes in bowel habits, and abnormal contractions of intestinal muscles; being either faster or slower than normal.

Water helps loosen up your stool if you are suffering from constipation. It also helps diarrhea as you need to replenish water which is lost due to dehydration. It is advisable to eat smaller meals and reduce symptoms of bloating. Do not eat too quickly as more air might get into your body while swallowing. Drugs such as anti-spasmodic drugs may be used to reduce cramping and treat diarrhea. This should be had after consulting your doctor. Do not have any drugs over the counter without consulting the doctor as your body type may be different from another person. You may have negative reactions if you have drugs with out understanding your anatomy.
