Know your ISO settings. There are times, you snapped a photograph in a darkened room or evening outdoors, but it turned out you got a grainy image. This is caused by the ISO setting or the film speed. A higher ISO can mean grainy image, the lower ISO the better. However, using ISO depends on lighting conditions, a lower 100 or 200 ISO is for sunny days, 400 ISO for cloudy, 800 for indoor photography minus flash and 1600 low lighting conditions.
