With the stiff competition in the online arena, it can really get challenging to excel in the field of article writing. However, you can increase your chances if you're aware of the things that you can do when writing your articles. These are the following:

1. Topics. Be very careful when choosing the topics that you're going to write about. Consider your goals and the needs of your target market. You would want to discuss something that will showcase your expertise in your chosen niche while you provide your readers with useful information. I suggest that you talk about the problems or goals of your target audience. Based on research, these are the best topics for your articles as they can easily get your readers to pay attention.

2. Do use effective titles. Using effective titles is like plating in the field of cooking. If you want your articles to look appetizing and if you want online users to "eat" them, you've got to make your presentation "delectable" or "mouth-watering". 5. Do help your readers. Strive to bring positive impact to the lives of your readers by simply sharing with them a slice of your expertise. As an expert, you can easily show them the best ways to understand and solve their problems. You can also offer them the best answers to their questions and lastly, you can offer your personal techniques to help them reach their goals in no time.

6. Do make your articles relatively short. Reading articles from a computer monitor can really be a sore on the eyes. Thus, it would help if you will not require your readers to spend more than 10 minutes reading your articles. You can do this by making them relatively short. Depending on your topic, you can make your articles run 250-500 words. The shorter your articles, the better.

7. Be straightforward. As you're serving people who are pressed for time, make sure that you do not beat around the bush when writing your articles. You can impress your readers if you give them the data that they are looking for ASAP.

8. Do make your articles scan able. Help your readers easily find the information that they are looking for by highlighting keywords or key phrases on your articles. It would also help if you use short paragraphs and sub headings all the time.
