The Best Way To Commute Is By Cycling
The majority of people who live in the city have lots of transportation options for getting around the city. Many have their own cars, motorcycles, or scooters. Public transport such as the subway or bus are also used by many people. All of these are good ways to get around, but some special benefits can be gained by cycling, so I think it's the best mode of transportation.
One benefit of cycling is that you can get exercise. Daily exercise is of supreme importance to your health, but the average person is full of excuses as to why he doesn't exercise. There are people who even buy gym memberships but never go. Others decide to do a sport but they cancel frequently or don't show up. Certain people regularly go jogging then they take a day off. And the next they take a second day off. Then the next day they take a third day off. The problem here is that these people intend to exercise, but they need to incorporate exercise into their routine so it is unavoidable and impossible to resist. Commuting to work by bicycle is the perfect way to incorporate exercise into your daily routine. Because there are no excuses. Even if ...
... you're exhausted after working hard all day, you can't back out of your exercise because you have to ride home. You can't escape the exercise you have committed to.
Another reason to cycle around town is that it's affordable. It's unnecessary to buy gas, and in today's world of unstable oil prices that's important. Most of the time there are no parking expenses either It depends on where you live, but in a lot of places you can simply lock your bike up on the street or a rack without paying. The main thing to keep it affordable is to make sure your bike doesn't get stolen, so I hope you will invest in a good bike lock.
An additional benefit of cycling is that it is flexible so you are free to do what you want. If you are thinking of riding along the beach rather than on the road, then you're free to do it. If you decide to take a shortcut down a narrow lane, you are free to do so. You can walk alongside your bicycle on the sidewalk. You can't do those things with a car, and of course not on public transportation. Sometimes that variety and flexibility of taking whatever route you want can take some of the stress out of your daily commute.
I own a car because I like to take roadtrips and head up into the mountains. But when getting around the city, my bike is so much more convenient and enjoyable than all of the other transportation methods. So if you don't have a bike, make sure to get one and start enjoying your commute.
