Article Writing Guidelines - Guidelines For Writing Exceptional Articles

So, you've been wanting to write your articles but don't know how to get started. You keep asking yourself what can you write about and how can you make your articles really, really effective? Well, you can find all the answers to your questions in this article so, read on!
Here's what you need to get started:
1. Do you have the flair for writing? Are you knowledgeable on a certain topic? Do you have great research skills? Expertise, writing skills and research skills -- these are the three most important elements that you need to possess in order to get started. If you don't posses them yet, don't worry as there are ways to learn and master them over time. Attend relevant training programs and seminars, practice on a regular basis, do extensive research, and solicit tips from renowned experts.
2 Choose your topics. Choosing the topics for your articles is relatively easy. If you're an affiliate marketer or if you're selling your own products, write those topics that are closely relevant to what you are selling. If you're offering link building services for example, write articles about the importance ...
... of building inbound links in improving a site's page ranking. This type of topic will allow you to share a piece of your in-depth knowledge with your readers so you can convince them that you're really an expert. However, if you're a freelance ghostwriter, you will need to write the topics that were provided by your clients. Of course, you have the option to choose your projects -- that's one of the great benefits of being a freelance article writer.
3. Extensive research.. Avoid relying solely on your stored knowledge and experiences when writing your articles as this will make them sound one-sided. Instead, do your research and obtain as much information as possible from relevant online resources. While you're at it, verify the information you have in hand and ensure that they are accurate. This is the best thing that you can do to avoid misleading your readers.
This is really useful especially if you're not really that familiar with the topics that you're writing about. Read at least 5 reputable, content-rich websites where you can possibly get all the information you need. It would also help if you take time to do interviews to obtain more information.
4. Use effective, punchy titles. If there is one element that you really need to focus your energy on it would be when writing your titles. Titles are like ads; if they are well-written and impacting, you can be assured that you'll get the kind of response that you're looking for.
5. Article content. Always remind yourself that your main goal in writing your articles is to inform and not to advertise nor to impress. So, focus on giving your readers information that they really need. Avoid inserting blatant ads and don't even think about using big, fancy words as this is not the best way to get your readers to like you.
6. Make your articles well-written. They must be free from grammar, spelling, factual, and syntax errors. They must also be free from run on sentences. In addition, your content must flow smoothly so you can be assured that your audience will have a great time reading your articles.
Here are some guidelines in writing exceptionally great articles that will wow your target audience:
1. Know your readers. There is no better way to start the whole process than having in-depth information about the people that will most likely to read your articles. It's very important that you know what they're looking for in an article so you can easily give it to them. This is the key to really impress them.
2. Deliver high quality information. This is what will really make your articles exceptional. As much as possible, offer your readers with hot, solid information about your chosen topics. Also, ensure that the information you offer are those that your readers can actually use in either solving their pressing issues or in improving the quality of their lives. Don't give them nonsense content or articles that are just full of fluffs if you don't want to lose them to your competitors in a heartbeat.
3. Make your articles interesting to read. You would want your readers to have a great time when reading your articles. You can make this happen by using conversational tone. It would also help if you use visuals, stories, and relevant experiences. You can make your articles more engaging by inserting questions and appropriate humor from time to time.
