Ebola is a disease that has taken Africa into a tailspin. Over 4,500 people have died from the disease because it is communicable. In order to get the disease, one has to be in contact with an infected person's bodily fluid while they are showing symptoms of the disease. Since there have been many cases that are confirmed out of the African hot zone, many people are alerted to the spread of the disease across the world.

Since there have been confirmed cases around the world, the fear is at its highest with the idea that a person could catch the disease by be in close proximity to an infected person. The fact that they can't know if someone has it, they have decided to do something on their own.

Technically, the Ebola virus can only survive for a few moments on doorknob handles and various other fixtures that an infected person has touched. The Ebola virus is not supposed to be airborne, however people fear that an infected person might sneeze or cough, therefore the germ could go out into the air and infect someone that is nearby. There was lot of fear that they had been around a lot of people and that those people might have contracted the disease. Now people that might have come in contact with Ebola are being monitored for 21 days. If they develop a fever, they must follow the proper steps to find out if they have Ebola. Many people have been quarantined so they can't spread the disease, if in fact, they do have it.

The Ebola masks are made to stop the spread of communicable diseases. People that are purchasing them are trying to protect themselves from coming in contact with the dreaded disease in any way. Should the people be investing in the Ebola masks? For relieving their own fears, they are free to do so. In terms of contracting the disease, their fears are unfounded. Since the disease can only be obtained from the direct contact with the bodily fluids from the infected person, the mask offers little protection if the rest of the body is not protected in some way when they are in the presence of an infected and symptomatic person. They would need to wear full gear in order to protect themselves from contracting the disease if someone is infected and able to spread it to others.

Since the new cases of Ebola are being found outside of Africa, the ebola masks sales are increasing. People feel that if they have the masks, they will be protected from the disease.

The sales of Ebola masks are incresing. Since the outbreak has moved out of Africa, the amount of Ebola masks has increased significantly. People are scared that the disease may spread uncontrollably.
