Biofuels are a special kind of fuels which are made from dead biological material. What that means is that we can practically never run out of it, as there are enormous amounts of biomass which can be used to produce biofuels from. Of course, this is getting more interesting by the day, as our fossil fuel reserves slowly deplete and many think that they won't last very long.

What makes biofuels so special is their impact and their relation with the environment. Are they bad for the environment? That's a question many people ask. Since fossil fuels are known to be very bad for the environment, due to releasing enormous amounts of CO2 in the atmosphere, people think that all fuels are the same. However, that is clearly not the case. Biofuels do not release CO2 at all. That makaes them special and unique. If we would switch to biofuels right away, the ozone would stop getting torn. That means that the "bad" rays of Sun would stop breaking through and causing various diseases such as skin cancer.

Biofuels are also supported by many green organizations, as they are completely good for the environment and don't harm ...
... the Earth. Of course, because biofuels are produced from biomass, if the production would get big proportions, all the useless biomass would be "destroyed", which is also a positive thing. Of course, it wouldn't be destroyed in the literal meaning of the world -- it would be destroyed but we would be getting biofuels. That means that we could power cars, produce electricity for everything from waste!
